(Innovest Strategic Value Advisors)

NEW YORK- May 9, 2007- For the fifth consecutive year, Innovest has been selected to write the principal, global report for the Climate Disclosure Project (CDP ). This year, the CDP collaboration is backed by more than 280 international investors, with combined assets under management of over US $40 trillion. Innovest’s selection followed an international competition, featuring several of the world’s leading research and advisory firms. As in each of the previous years, Innovest’s report will analyze the climate change strategies and performance of the world’s 500 largest public companies, based on their responses to the questions put to the companies’ CEOs, on the investors’ behalf.

Paul Simpson, Chief Operating Officer of the CDP says, “We are delighted to have once again appointed Innovest to write the flagship CDP global report on the FT500 companies’ responses to climate change. Innovest has produced four excellent reports containing cutting edge analysis for us and it is for this reason that we have chosen to work with them again. We are looking forward to a report that will take this analysis to the next level. From the feedback we receive it is clear that the analysis Innovest produces such as the Climate Leadership Index drives changes in companies strategies."

Innovest has been the lead researcher for the CDP since its inception five years ago. During that time period, the level of support from major investors has increased by a factor of ten – from $4 trillion to the current $40 trillion plus. The analysis and report-writing will begin in June, with the report launched in a number of global centres in September.

"The potential impact of the CDP has never been greater; this will undoubtedly be a "tipping point" " year", predicted Innovest’s Chief Executive Matthew Kiernan. "Institutional investors can have an enormous impact on companies’ priorities and behavior. Now that investor awareness is at unprecedented levels, the time for action has arrived. We fully expect the leading institutions to begin integrating climate considerations explicitly into their investment policies and strategies. For that reason, we are particularly honoured and excited to play a part in this pathbreaking project once again."

This year’s CDP follows closely on the heels of the creation and launch of the world’s first "climate risk-adjusted bond index ", a collaboration between Innovest and JPMorgan.
